It is really tough to get the desired products here in my country, as I don't get to buy my stuffs directly from the store or web, so I have to ask people to buy the products I need. Though most of the times I get my products through my friends and family living abroad, but helpful people like Mitu Apu from NV Cosmetics are always there to help me to get my beauty products when I get help from nowhere. This is how I bought my Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye pencil in Perversion, which was BDT 2200 including shipping charge. Its USD 19 at Sephora and Urban Decay website.
What Urban Decay says about this product:
"The best Eye Pencil ever, ever, ever! Never before has a pencil this creamy and brilliant been waterproof, too. Velvetty-soft, this never-before-seen formula stays soft and creamy for blending (about 30 seconds), then then dries down to a long-lasting finish that WILL NOT budge."
Never did I use any product that's so creamy and smooth and still budge smudge and bleeding free! The packaging is slick and easy to handle. Nothing fancy, yet sophisticated enough!
The pigmentation of this product is AWESOME! Its the blackest eye pencil I have ever tried, and yes it is blacker than MAC Smolder. The extreme blackness of the product pops my brown eyes and I absolutely love rich black eye pencil/eye liners! It glides on effortlessly, which reminds me of crayons on paper, feels like it melts on my skin when I apply it.
As this is a pencil, you can sharp it to a really fine tip. I don't use it for fine lining as the smooth gliding decays the pencil faster and as a result the fine lining doesn't stay fine (eerrrmmm...hope that makes sense!). I fear that this pencil might run out (?!) fast as it is really soft and you will obviously loose some portion when you will sharp it.
Though Urban Decay claims it to be soft enough for blending (up to 30 seconds), I find it about drying faster than 30 seconds and once it dries down, its a rocker! I have worn it for solid 10 hours on my extremely oily skin and on an outdoor hangout, though it looked a bit faded out around 12 hours!
You can tight line your upper and lower water line with this eye pencil and can be free of tension as it will not fade or bleed or smudge no matter if you cry your heart out. You will need a good make up remover to remove your liner, I promise!
The following photos will demonstrate my above statement. The first one is freshly applied perversion, only one pass (see the awesome pigmentation!), and the second one demonstrates the staying power of this pencil, as I have rubbed the swatch vigorously after 5 minutes of the application (actually this is the result of my desperate try to erase it from my wrist lol).
As it dries down almost as soon as you apply it, it is a bit difficult to blend it. So if anyone wants to blend it, he/she might want to skip this one.
Let me confess: I am in trouble after I have started using this particular eye pencil. Want to know why? Because it's absolutely fabulous! I can HARDLY find anything wrong with this product and I have kind of 'imprinted on' it which means from now on, no regular eye pencil will be able to satisfy me like this one, which will force me to repurchase this one again and again, and it will be rude to my wallet because of the price! I just wished Urban Decay had some mechanical lid version of this particular product..!
