A little something I have tried: Nostalgia!

This is a look I used to do every now and then when I knew nothing about make up! Golden on the lid, a dark brown on the crease and a li'l bit of red on the outer corner of the lid, with heavy eyeliner on both upper and lower lash line. Time has flown, and now as I think I am better than before, so I thought I should give my almost childhood look a try. So here it is! :D

BH Cosmetics 120 Color Eyeshadow Palette 1st edition : Swatch of all 120 colors and a little review

This palette was gifted to me by my friend Tansia, from Obsessively Obsessed with, I am big fan of neutral shades and she knows I generally don't step out of neutrals, so she gave me this so that I can play more with colors! Thanks a bunch hun... You know I love you :*

Coming to the palette, the shades are great. You get a lots of colors in a palette. But I have to mention you have to wear a good primer before you apply these shadows as most of these are quite powdery and tend to smudge easily. Most of the eyeshadows are pretty pigmented and have good color pay off! Well, some of them look pretty in the palette and just don't seem to have any color... But number of such shades are very few.

This is a great palette for the beginners. You can use these colors to create beautiful looks! If you are stepping into the make up world, go get this palette, I can promise you won't regret!

This post is basically based on swatches, so you will get a little review. I am including the photos below:

Its really tiring to swatch such huge palettes, but I am glad that I could do it. Hope it helps!

A little something I have tried: one Green-Black eye!

I have a fascination for green, I admit! Presenting you another look which has green eyeshadow, and this time its NOT MAC's Humid again :P

I have done a NOT so blended outer edge, I am afraid to call it Arabian as I don't know if its truly Arabian or not, as I am a learner and have been learning from my mistakes. As usual, constructive criticism is highly appreciated, as well as any kind of suggestion on areas to improve!

Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss: Wet Cranberry (SHINE), this is THE ONE! :)

Estee Lauder pure Color Gloss comes in three finishes: Shine, Luminous Shimmer and Dimensional Sparkle.

The shade Wet Cranberry belongs to the Shine category. I got this one as a gift from my brother, from Toronto (bought from Sears of Eaton center), and I absolutely love it! :')

 

The Packaging is awesome! I am a big fan of EL packaging, as they look so classy, elegant and also chic at the same time!

 

I was hesitant to try the color, and got confused big time, but my sister said "this is the red you want". So I tried again, and thank you my sis, yes, this is THE one!

 

The doe foot applicator is very precise to use it easily on the lips! 

About the color: absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE... I will seriously cry my heart out if EL discontinues this product. Its a rich berry red, with lots of shine, and is so opaque that makes it a fusion of lipstick and lipgloss. It has the slick feel of a lip gloss along with rich pigment of a lipstick! The gloss is sensually light weight and non sticky, and glides on smoothly on the lips. This is a color which flatters on both warm and cool skin tones! The warmth of my skin tone warms up the color. I have swatched the color both on my wrist and my lips. Below are the images:

This is my HG lipgloss for now, and I will be repurchasing it as soon as I run out! The price is a bit steep, as EL is a high end brand, but I thinks its worthy if you are hunting a red lipgloss and want to keep an exclusive one in your makeup collection.

A little something I have Tried: Black and Pinkish Smokey Eye

This is something I have tried few days back at home. I am not a HUGE fan of smokey eyes, may be because I am not quite fond of my eye shape and colors, as they tend to look weird with deep dark smokey eyes! But I am just thinking to give smokey looks some good tries. So here is another result!

A little something I have tried: Kristen Stewart inspired look, followed Pixiwoo, and recreated it in my way ;)

Let me admit: I am a huge Twilight fan, so I have liked almost all the fan pages out there in Facebook representing Twilight. I got to see Kristen Stewart's photo from one of those pages months ago, and I just loved her look! I wanted to do it, but I was just looking for a mentor who will guide me through it, I needed a pro to do this look! Lucky me, Nic from Pixiwoo did this look and from that day I have been trying to get a chance to recreate this look and finally I got the chance the night before my exam :/

Disclaimer: This is NOT an exact recreation of Kristen or Nic's look, some people may find it not even near to that inspiration look, don't bother, I recreated it in my own way :)

One more thing, the photos just do NOT do any justice to the real life look!!!!!! Don't know why :S :S I felt this looked LOVELY in real, but the photos are just freaking me out! Still, I had to share lol
