This is the first astringent I used before I discovered the red one I reviewed before (you can read the review here. And I used this astringent for about 2years until I found my favourite red one.
Honestly, I love the red bottle more than this. But this doesn't mean I don't like this one. This is also a great astringent, but it doesn't hold back my oil like the red one does. But it really wakes me up in the morning! It has Ginseng in it, which means it will help to remove your fatigue. I do agree with this, as when I wake up or I come back after a long tiring day, this astringent wakes me up instantly.
It cleanses well, not as good as the red one, but its just ok for me. It doesn't claim to have any pimple-preventing ingredient, still I didn't have any break outs since I started using this. It doesn't help with preventing blackouts though, but that might be an issue if you have stubborn blackheads like me.
It doesn't dry out the skin like the red one, instead it kind of leaves a moisturising layer on the skin. So it CAN be a good product for normal to dry skin people.
Tips for Oily skin: What I do is, I apply this on my skin, leave it for 15-20minutes and then I wash off my face with a facewash.
Strangely, I don't know why, when I first apply it on my skin I get a tinsy bit of orange-ish smell, but that might be psychological too :D
I had to buy this as the red one was out of market at that time, so if I get red one I don't usually buy this one. But it can be a good substitute of the red one, not great, just good!
I recommend this for people with normal skin or dry skin, oily skin people can also use this one if they want to feel awake or fresh. Good product for oily skin, but not as good as the red bottle. It can be great for normal skin, I believe.
