A Little Something I have Tried: less dramatic smokey eyes!

This is a smokey eye I prefer over the very much black and dramatic smokey eye. This eye makeup can be paired with any kind of outfit and you can do this look without worrying about what season it is. Moreover it is really really easy and takes only minutes to complete the whole look. If you are planning to wear saree during the daytime for special occasion then you can definitely try this one.

One little secret: this is my go to eye makeup when I am in a hurry and when I am too lazy to come up with a new look ;)

Let's see the steps to achieve this look.

Step 1: Prime your eyelids and lower lashline.

Step 2: Apply gel liner or pencil liner on the upper lash line and blend it. You can also use NYX Jumbo pencil in Black Bean to do this step.

Step 3: Take a matte black eyeshadow and apply it on the outer corner of your lid and slightly bring it to the crease. Make a V shape at first and blend it. Keep the shadow on the outer one-third of the eyelid.

Step 4: Take one dark brown eyeshadow and apply it on the crease with the help of a pencil brush and blend it. You can also use a warmer brown eyeshadow to blend the dark brown one and add a bit of warmth.

Step 5: Take a brownish bronze eyeshadow that has a metallic finish and apply it on the inner two-third of the lid. Blend it with the black eyeshadow you applied before. For reference I have used Urban Decay's Dark Horse from Naked 1 palette.

Step 6: On the lower lash line apply black eyeshadow on the outer half part and dark brown on the lower half part. Blend them together.

Step 7: Take a metallic bronze gold color in the inner tear duct to brighten the look.

Step 8: Tight line your upper and lower waterline ad apply heavy coats of mascara.

One tip: go back with applying more of the black and brown eyeshadow and reapply them to intensify the color payoff, because in the process of blending, both of the colors lose their intensity.

And you're done!

Here's how it looks when completed.

Let me know how you find it and if you recreate it please don't forget to share with me :)

Much love and respect,
Eeshita.
